Kyllä, olen oikullinen...olen päättänyt pitää punaisen langan itse. Löysin sille ohjeen: Apricot Jacket, Rebecca 27. Tosin sille pitää keksiä joku muu nimi. Kuinka se voisi olla aprikoosi takki kun se on tummanpunainen? Päässäni on koko päivän pyörinyt kappale "Love Kills", esittäjänä Queen. Ehkä nimeän neuleen sen mukaan...huomaatteko ironian?
Toivottavasti vaan saan lehden lainaksi Minnalta, koska eihän minulla mokomaa ole. En olekaan neulonut Saksaksi aikaisemmin, saas nähdä mitä tulee. Mutta näyttää lanka tiheydeltään sopivan tuohon...vaikka käytetty lanka (GGH Java) onkin terästetty pienellä määrällä keinokuitua (15% akryyliä) ja Jazz on täyttä puuvillaa, niin eiköhän se sovi. Onhan ko. takki näkynyt jossakin blogissa jopa villasta tehtynä.
Mutta tarjolla on siis vielä Capria ja Tahitia. Ja ehkä myöhemmin vielä jotain muuta jahka lajittelen lankojani lisää. Pysykää kanavalla!

Yes, I'm fickle. I've decided to keep the red yarn for myself. And I even found a nice pattern: the Apricot Jacket from Rebecca 27. Though I have to think of another name for it. How can it be apricot jacket when it's dark red? I've been hearing "Love Kills" from Queen all day, maybe I'll name it that. Can you spot the irony here?
Hopefully I'll get the magazine on loan from Minna. Since I don't have it. It'll be my first German pattern. I haven't tried them before. I'll just have to hope that my German is up to it. Anyway, I think Jazz will be okay for it even though it's 100% cotton and what they used in the pattern (GGH Java I think) is not (15% acrylic + 85% cotton) it should work ok. After all, people have made it even from wool.
Anyway, there's still Capri and Tahiti on offer. And probably something else too when I re-arrange my yarns. Stay tuned!
And more yarn later today! Monica is bringing the Tusshena yarn to the meet today. There's nothing like a red yarn to brighten the day (and it is quite grey at the moment).
