Suomessa taas! - Back in Finland!

Hrr...kylmää ja koleata. Eikä aurinkokaan paista. Ja katsokaa millaista kohtasin viimeisen viikon aikana:

Hrr....cold and damp. And the sun is not shining either. And look what my last week was like:

Kauniita kukkia, lämpöä (kuva on aito), auringonpaistetta, levada- ja vuoristokävelyitä...ihan kiva paikka. Ja onnistuin löytämään lankakaupan (tai kaksi). Ja kyllä, se olen minä siellä kaupassa.

Beautiful flowers, warmth (the picture is genuine), sunshine, levada and mountain walking...a nice place really. And I did manage to find a yarn store (or two). And yes, that's me inside the shop.

Ja törmäsimme myös paikalliseen asujaimistoon.

And we met the locals also.

Ja joku osti myös villaa (paikallista). Ruskea ja harmaa ovat ns. sekavärejä, eli harmaassa on ruskeahkoja länttejä ja ruskeassa on vaaleita (enkös osaakin selittää asiat hurmaavasti?). Ostettuani ruskeata olin vähän kahden vaiheilla tyyliin: " äh, olisi sittenkin pitänyt ostaa sitä suklaanruskeaa...rumaa lankaa, rumaa lankaa" mutta kun kotona kumosin ne lattialle ja katselin uudestaan olinkin eri mieltä, eli " kivaa lankaa, kivaa lankaa". Ja onhan tällä enemmän "luonnetta". Eikö tuollainen olekin inhottavaa? Vai käykö näin vain minulle? Lanka on aika vähän käsiteltyä, siinä on vielä selvästi rasvainen tuntu. Ja aika löyhäkierteistä. Ja halpaa! Kilo mokomaa maksoi 11€ euroa! Mitähän moisesta saa Suomessa maksaa?

And somebody also bought some local wool. The brown and grey ones are so-called "mixed" colours, meaning that there's a bit of white in the brown and a bit of brown in the grey (don't I have a way with words?). After I bought the yarn I was a bit doubtful of the brown and kept thinking: "I should have bought the chocolate brown, this is ugly yarn, ugly yarn"...but after I had spilled them on the floor today I thought: "Ooh! Pretty yarn, pretty yarn". Don't you just hate that when it happens? Or does it happen to you? Am I just the only one?
The yarn is still pretty "woolly" meaning that it's a bit greasy and loosely spun. And it was cheap as...well...something. Only 11€ euros per kilo! I wonder how much it would have cost in Finland.

And by the way, although somebody *cough*Briana*cough* mentioned that it's good practice for me to write in English, I just thought I'd mention that I got compliments on my English ("your English is excellent by the way") from a Scotsman of all people!
