Frolic

Tässäpä Johannan kaipaamaa kypsän viljan väristä neuletta (itse ajattelen leijonankeltaista kun näen langan). Tästä on tarkoitus tulla Frolic Rowan 29 lehdestä. Tarjolla ovat kaikki katastrofin ainekset: lanka ei varmaankaan muistuta ollenkaan ohjeessa vaadittavaa, tiheys on eri ja ohjeessakin on virheitä. Eikun neulomaan vaan! Neuloja ajattelee että ei sillä väliä kun se on ribbiä...

All right, here is the latest. This is supposed to become Frolic from Rowan 29. The colour reminds someone of ripe wheat, but I always think of lion yellow (sorry, really bad about English colour names...correct me if you please) when I see this yarn. Anyway, I'm heading for disaster: the yarn is probably nothing like the pattern called for, stitch and row counts are different and there's some errors in the pattern too. Well...the knitter just thinks that it doesn't matter because it's rib...(yeah, right!).

Lankana on Novitan Jamaica. En edes muista milloin tätä on tehty. Lanka on marinoitunut yläkaapissani...ööö...kauan. Kaivellessani jotain muuta törmäsin siihen ja ihastuin väriin uudestaan. Saas nähdä valmistuuko pusero ajoissa Madeiran matkaa varten (tämän kuun lopussa).

The yarn is Novita Jamaica (a Finnish yarn). I can't even remember when they made this. It has been marinating in my stash for ages and ages until I ran into it while searching for something else. I fell in love with the colour again. Let's see if this will be finished in time for our trip to Madeira (at the end of this month).

Juuri aloittanut bloggailija pitää heti tauon. Heitän hellät hyvästit bloggailemiselle ainakin viikoksi. Lähden huomisaamulla Roomaan. Takaisin on tarkoitus tulla torstaina. Toiveissa on löytää lankakauppa tai kaksi, mutta en mitenkään ajatellut säntäillä suunapäänä edestakaisin langankiilto silmissäni ympäri Roomaa. Sentään työkaverin kanssa matkassa ja sillai. En mitenkään halua masentaa koleaan säähän riutuvia kanssaneulojiani (tai no, ehkä vähän), mutta katsokaapa tätä. Hehee! Kyllä nyt tulee käyttöä kesävaatteillekin!

A novice blogger will have a break straight away. I will bid my readers fond farewell for a week or so. I'm going to Rome tomorrow morning (really, really early, ugh!). I'm coming back on Thursday. I'm hoping to run into a yarn store while there, but I'm not planning on running around Rome looking for one. After all, I'm traveling with a co-worker. I'm not about to depress fellow knitters who struggle with cold weather (well...maybe a bit) but take a look at this. Finally a use for all my summer clothes (the summer in Finland was about two weeks).
