Ostoskelua - Shopping

Kävin viime viikonloppuna Kotkassa, juuri sopivaan aikaan. Siellä oli nimittäin käsityötapahtuma ja pitihän siellä sitten tietenkin käydä. Myyjiä oli aika monta, hiplasin Puffa-lankaakin ja meinasin jopa ostaa, mutta laskin vyyhdin kädestäni toviksi ja menihän se, jonkun muun matkaan. Mutta ostin sitten Puputsilta nappeja. Ei mitään hajuakaan mihin nämä laitan, mutta olivat niin oman värisiä että oli pakko.

I went to Kotka last weekend, and it was just a good time for there was some kind of small handicraft happening on Saturday. And of course we went there - my Mom and I. There were quite a few sellers and I almost bought a skein of Puffa yarn. But then I let the skein out of my hands and it went - with someone else. But I bought a few buttons from Puputsi. I don't have a plan for those but they were just my colour so I had to get them.

Ja nyt on Tildaa, kangasmuodossa. Romanttisista ruusukuvioista tulee kukkaroita, pallovuorilla. Ruusut vetosivat jotenkin minuun vaikka se Tilda-söpöstely nyt noin yleensä ei viehätä. Pitäisikin tilata lisää kehyksiä kun nyt on hohtimetkin kehysten litistelyä varten. Juuri sopivat vanhat ja kuluneet.

And now I have Tilda, in fabric form. I'm going to use these romantic rose patterns for purses. I liked the big roses even though the too-cute Tilda style is not really my cup of tea. I should order some more purse frames, now that I got a pair of pincers to squeeze the frames with. Just old enough to be nicely worn.

Noin yleisesti en pidä siitä että jollakin tapahtumalla on vain facebook-sivu. Tai siis ohjelma ja näytteilleasettajat näyttivät löytyvän tuolla Kotkan tapahtumalla vain facebookissa. Vaikka minulla tunnukset sinne onkin, en siltikään käytä sitä kovinkaan paljon kommunikointiin ja mielelläni etsisin tietoa tapahtumista muualta. Sitäpaitsi, kaikki eivät siellä ole.

In general I don't like it when an event has only a facebook page. Or that the program and merchants list are only on faceboook. Even though I have a facebook account I don't use it for communicating or socializing that much and I'd much rather find info about events somewhere else. Besides, not everyone has a facebook account.
