Kissankarvainen sunnuntai - Sunday with Cat Hair

Eilen oli Suomen verkkoneuleyhdistyksen (siis se joka julkaisee Ullaa) pikkujoulut ja kaikilla tuntui olevan mukavaa - ruokaa ja juomaa oli riittävästi ja lahjoja vaihdettiin. Minä sain Pörrön taiteileman Ihan kivan huivineulan. Mikä oli todellakin ihan kiva, sillä tällaista ei oikein minulla vielä ole ja väri sattui aivan nappiin.

Yesterday was the xmas party for Suomen verkkoneuleyhdistys ry (we publish Ulla). Everyone seemed to have a nice time, there was plenty of food and drink and gifts were exchanged. I got a rather nice shawl pin by Pörrö. And it was rather nice, since I've been eyeing one of these in various places and the colour was spot on.

Meillä on myös ollut täysihoitolainen. Lilli on pyhä birma ja hän saapui meille perjantaina ja lähtee kotiin tiistaiaamuna. Kissa on aika rauhallinen mutta halutessaan pienestä koostaan huolimatta aika äänekäs. Toistaiseksi ei ole ollut mitään ihmeempiä allergiaoireita lievää ajoittaista silmien kutinaa lukuunottamatta.

We also have a lodger. She is called Lilli and she is a Birman. She came to us on Friday and she'll be heading home on Tuesday morning. She is quite easy-going and nice, although she can be very loud when she wants to. So far I haven't had that much of an allergic reaction to her, just some minor eye itching.

Neulontarintamalla olen taas tylsässä vaiheessa. Olen neuloskellut hitaasti ja rauhallisesti ainaoikein reunuksia punaiseen koneneuletakkiin. Tehtynä on nyt hihat, helma ja toinen etureunoista. Vielä puuttuu toinen etureuna ja kaulukset. Jos nyt saisi tässä ennen joulua tuon tehtyä niin olisi ihan hyvä.

Olen myös saanut aloitettua Bridgewater-huivin reunapitsin ja aloitin myös huivia lilasta retriitistä ostamastani Dream in Color Starrystä. Vihreäruutuinen villakangastakki saanee siis piakkoin ainakin yhden sopivan huivin. En kyllä oikein vieläkään ole päättänyt mihin käytän lilat St Magnus angora-villani.

On knitting front I'm approaching boring again. I've been slowly knitting the garter stitch edges to the red machine knitted cardi. So far I've done sleeves, the hem and one of the front edges. Still to be done is the other front edge and the neck edgings. And I have to sew in the sleeves. But, I hope to get it done sometime before xmas.

I also managed to finally pick up all the gazillion stitches around the Bridgewater center square and I started the lace edge today. I also started a scarf from the purple Dream in Color Starry I bought at the retreat. So finally the green woollen coat is getting at least one scarf. I still haven't decided what I will make out of my St Magnus angora/wool mix I got from Edinburgh.

Lainakissa on valloittanut toisen takakaiuttimen ja nukkui siinä tänään suurimman osan päivästä. Kaiutin tuntuu olevan pienelle kissalle juuri sopivan kokoinen.

The cat on loan has taken a liking to one of our rear speakers and has been sleeping on it for most of the day. It seems to be just the right size for a small cat.
