Massamurhaajan kotona - At a mass murderer's home

Rupesinpa massamurhaajaksi kun nykyinen ammatti rupesi tympimään. Nyt olen sitten langan sijaan tilannut netistä asiaan liittyvää rekvisiittaa. No ei nyt ihan. Mutta tunnustan kyllä olevani massamurhaaja, eikä tämä ole edes esimmäinen kerta. Jotkut jättivät taas vaihteeksi biojäteastian tyhjentämisen vähän liian myöhäiseksi ja sieltäpä sitten pölähti baarikärpästen yhdyskunta liikkeelle. Mokomat kun tuntevat suurta intohimoa punaviiniä kohtaan niin tämä kikka toimii: lasiin vettä, reilu tujaus punaviinietikkaa ja tippa-pari astianpesuainetta pintajännityksen poistajaksi niin johan kanta vähenee.

I decided to become a mass murderer because I got bored with my current profession. And now instead of yarn I surf the web for relevant articles. Well, not quite. But I do confess that I really am a mass murderer and this is not even the first time. Some people living in this house didn't yet manage to empty the organic waste bin in the kitchen in time and a colony of barflies (fruitflies really) had managed to breed there. And since they are really into red wine this trick works like charm: pour some water into a glass, add a generous heaping of red vinegar and add a drop or two of dishwashing liquid (the hand kind) to remove the surface tension. Works like a charm.

Tässä yhden yön tulos. Pohjalla näkyvä sakka on edesmenneitä banaanikärpäsiä. Harmillista kyllä on aina yksilöitä joihin tämä ei tepsi, mutta ainakin kantaa saa harvennettua runsaasti. Niin että voi itse juoda lasillisen tai pari punaviiniä niin että lasia ei tarvitse juoppokärpästen pelossa peittää jollakin.

Here's the result for last night. The sediment on the bottom of the glass is dead fruitflies. Unfortunately there's always some individuals who don't fall for this trick but at least you can thin the herd, so to speak. So that you can enjoy a glass or two of red wine without having to ingest drowned fruitflies if you forget to cover your glass. Bloody drunks.
