Whisper

Tässä lupaamani kuva Whisperin alusta. Olen päässyt noin puoliväliin hihaa. Hauskin osa on jo takana, eli hihansuuhun tulevat "rypyt" ja tästä eteenpäin on vain tylsää sileätä. Lanka on huonosti kuvautuvaa ihan päivänvalossakin, nähtävästi. Väri on Joy, tumma purppura, joka on nyt jo lopetettu. Mutta hamstrasin sitä jostain nettikaupasta alennuksesta kilon, joten hyvin pitäisi riittää Whisperiin ja johonkin muuhunkin.

Here's the promised picture of Whisper's start. I've managed to do about half of a sleeve. The fun part is over already, that is the "wrinkles" at the cuff and now it's just boring old stockinette. It seems that the yarn does not photograph well even in daylight. But the colour is Joy, a dark purple, now discontinued. I bought a kilo from some net store sale so I should have plenty left over to do something else too.

Mutta nyt pitää pistää töpinäksi ja lähteä lankakauppakierrokselle. En ehkä vielä osta neulekonekurssityön lankoja mutta pitää käydä katsastamassa valikoimaa ja ideoimassa värejä. Tosin jos Priimassa oli Sisua alennuksella niin sitä voisi ostaa...se on kuulemma hyvää neulekonelankaa. Ja ei, en ole osallistunut lankahamstereihin :-) Minähän olen menossa sitäpaitsi Norojen luvattuun maahan helmikuussa!

But now I have to get going, I have some yarn stores to visit. Maybe I won't buy the yarns for the knitting machine class piece but I think it's a good idea to see what's out there and think about the colours. Although if there is a sale of Sisu in one of the shops I might get that...the teacher said that it is very good to knit with. And no, I'm not thinking of taking part in the yarn diet that is being organized in February :-) Besides, I'm going to the Noro-land in February!
